Reasons for Registration

Why register on the Maritime Miata Club web site?

1. 1.To post a message on the forum. This is activated by the MMC site administrator upon receipt of an automated e-mail.
   2. If you are a member of the MMC, to access the Private Members Area of the forum. There is a short delay for this, since your chosen username needs to be verified by the MMC secretary to belong to a member of the Maritime Miata Club.

Under the banner at the Forum, click Register (It is between Login and FAQ). Or you can click here.

Read the Registration and Agreement Terms and click on "I Agree to these terms and am over or exactly 13 years of age".

Required Fields

Enter the required fields below, reenter your password, and enter the confirmation code shown on the screen:

1. Username
2. E-mail address
3. Password

All other information is optional, but can help others know you better.

Username

Since you can choose any username, you won't necessarily be recognizable to other people in the club. To ensure that you are added to the Private Members Area, please let the Maritime Miata Club Secretary know who you are. Only then can you be verified to be a member and given access to the Private Members Area.

E-mail Address

Your e-mail address doesn't need to be the one that you use for club business, you don't even have to allow it to be seen by anyone else. In fact, you could just go to Hotmail or Gmail and get a new e-mail address for registering on the Maritime Miata Club web site, never to use it again.

Password

Your password is known only to you. Neither the Maritime Miata Club executive, webmaster, nor anyone else other than you can retrieve your password if you forget it. Please remember it, even write it down for future reference. While your password cannot be retrieved, it can be reset. To do this, go to the login page and click on I forgot my password. Follow the instructions and you should be back online in no time.

Confirmation Code

Finally, you have to enter a case-sensitive confirmation code before you submit the above information. Your confirmation code is different for every registration and seen only by you. This discourages automated sign-ups that abuse these types of forums. However, it is an ongoing process to maintain a clean registration list.

Private Members Area

After a short delay, if you are verified to be a member of the Maritime Miata Club you will be given access to the Private Members Area.
